Australia’s only national short film festival and competition entirely dedicated to celebrating the art of storytelling.

Shorts Film Festival awards the best in cinematic storytelling, judging each film on the strength of its story. It’s that simple.

Judging by a panel of over 60 Australian film and media industry leaders for the 2014 competition has commenced. All shortlisted films will be celebrated on the big screen at the much-loved and uniquely styled Shorts Film Festival in late November 2014.

Shorts Film Festival champions outstanding cinematic storytelling through the provision of quality prizes, filmmaker support and significant career development opportunities.With prizes totalling over $50,000, including the coveted Gold Shorts prize of a trip to Cannes, Sundance or other major international film festival.
